Go from Hangry to Happy in Just 10 Minutes!
Quick and easy for when you're in a rush and takeout prices aren't hitting!
Happy Friday, Love!
How are you doing? What the hell have you been eating? Yes. you! Tell the truth…
As for me, I’ve been keeping it simple because food prices are going up, delivery fees are skyrocketing and my patience is at an all-time low.
Today, I’m sharing an ultra-simple, quick, and easy meal that you can whip up when you’re HANGRY and short on time. It will bring spice, joy and a happy belly.
Well, what are you waiting for? Meet me in the kitchen, some of us are hungry!
Creamy Chili Crisp Pasta
I’m starving and I’ve got thin spaghetti, coconut milk, hemp seeds, and all the ingredients I need for a quick chili crisp (if you have jarred use that). If you have greens or veg— add them in, please—stir in a little spinach, and chop up a couple of tomatoes! I ain’t got any of that today but we’re rolling! This may or may not be reminiscent of those viral creamy gochujang pasta recipes that have invaded my IG timeline.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
½ cup of coconut milk
1 pack of thin spaghetti
1-2 tablespoons of chili crisp /chili oil (←homemade recipe linked there| Store bought linked here)
3 tablespoons of hemp seeds
Badia’s sazon complete
nutritional yeast
Here’s What You’ll Need to Do:
#1 Boil your spaghetti for two minutes less than instructed on the box.
#2 Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
#3 Put the pasta back in the same pot you boiled it in because we don’t have time to wash multiple pots. Add your pasta water, sazon, nutritional yeast and coconut milk and stir over a low fire.
#4 If you have veggies add them now and stir until they are just soft. Then, stir in your chili crisp and nutritional yeast.
#5 Adjust your seasonings for taste, if necessary and serve up alongside your favorite beverage and/or a salad, if you’re fancy!
TADAH…thank me later!
I just inhaled this dish and a mini coke (judge yuh mudda) as my laundry delivery guy loitered around trying to get his payment machine to work. Let me tell you, I couldn’t even be annoyed at the inconvenience of having to charge his apparatus for him for like 15 minutes because my food made me happy. God and Universe willing, you’ll love it as much as I did. If this is a quick dinner, pair it with your favorite adult beverage and whew! You’re in for a treat!
