Bul-Go-YES! A Quick IG Recipe Review

How has the week been treating you? More importantly, how have you been treating your belly? Any new and exciting foods?
Well, as for me—Tofu has had me and my family in a chokehold this week! From chipotle lime tofu tacos on Mother’s Day to tofu bulgogi with roasted potatoes, and buffalo tofu melts for last night’s dinner! We have been obsessed!
However, by far, my favorite meal of the week was the tofu bulgogi recipe that I made from @thefoodietakesflight on IG. Let’s talk about it!
Tofu Bulgogi
Now, I had this recipe saved for a long time but never got around to making it because I don’t usually keep a lot of tofu in the house. BUT as I said, tofu had us in a chokehold this week.
This preparation was simple, easy and sooooooooooo delicious. The tofu was supple and meaty. I made a few little tweaks like preseasoning my tofu with a bit of Chinese five spice, a sprinkle of my new favorite seasoning, ground chipotle powder—its sweet and smoky—some good ‘ole paprika and garlic powder.
The other slight adjustment I made was to use Jayone Korean BBQ Sauce—I have been using it for awhile for dipping spring rolls or to spice up my homemade BBQ sauces but it is made to be used for bulgogi. So I figured why not? I doctored it up to my taste and based on the original sauce recipe shared in the reel—adding more garlic, a splash of sriracha, and a splash of Trini Green Seasoning. If you’re feeling lazy you prob don’t need to doctor it at all.
You do what you like because you have to eat it.
This recipe was a hit with my entire family. Everyone had seconds and thirds. 10/10. TRY IT!
